GKS timeline

1950

Georg Kramp founded the sole proprietorship as a trading company for machine tools and tools in Stuttgart Bad Cannstatt.


1967

Registration of several patents (Europe-wide) and later grant for GKS lifters.


1971

Move into the company's own building in Fellbach with around 2.000 square meters of office and exhibition space.


1975

Development of international sales for GKS-PERFEKT Lifting and transport equipment / machine jacks.


1992

Expansion of the company building to now 3.500 square meters.


1994

Purchase of an office building (neighboring building) with a further 2.500 square meters.


1995

Distributed in the USA by dealers (Charlotte, NC).


1996

First participation in trade fairs in Southeast Asia and India.


2000

January 2000: Moving into the production building in Fellbach with 1.200 square meters of production area.


2000

Anniversary event in October for the 50th anniversary of Georg Kramp.


2003

The company is renamed a GmbH & Co. KG with the management Doris Kramp.


2007

40th anniversary in September the GKS-PERFEKT Lifting and transport systems.


2008

Implementation of ISO certification in accordance with DIN.


2009

Development of an electrical, remote-controllable transport system ROBOT.


2010

Continuous development of our own sales branch in the USA with warehousing and high delivery availability.

Presentation of the battery-operated ROBOT transport system as a world first.


2011

Further development and market launch of the GKS-PERFEKT ROBOT-40 with presentation at various trade fairs.


2014

Establishment of a further sales office in Mexico with expansion of a distribution warehouse.


2015

Extension / new edition of the machine program: AVIA, SERRMAC, MEXPOL.

Restructuring of the tool trade: ZENTRA, KARNASCH, TANOI, SPPW, POREBA.


 

 

2016

Trade fair presence in Stuttgart at the LogiMAT and AMB as well as at the world's leading trade fair Bauma in Munich, with the presentation of the further development ROBOT-40 with a lifting device.


2017

Further development of ROBOTS with a platform and additional special designs.
